Safe and Sound- Attention Parents Who Have Kids Listening to Music!

  • Have your child access the situation before putting in earbuds to listen to their music
  • Green light, use of two ear-buds, in a safe situation, example , in their rooms,  with family home.
  • Yellow light, on alert someone or something may need your attention, example, walking to, or from school..drop one earbud allowing for safe and sound……a compromise.
  • Red light, drop the music for now, you need all your senses to get to where you are going safely!
  • It is not safe to drive or ride a bike with music earbuds in.  Start by being a good role model.

911

Good people are everywhere, all week I have been blogging about 911 heroes, children who have saved themselves and their families.  Last night a good Samaritan stayed with a frightened-pregnant woman who had just been slammed intro by a truck running a red light.  This man stayed with her until the police and her husband arrived.  You never know when you might need help, from an everyday hero,  last night it was my daughter, and I’m so grateful she and the baby are fine.
